Aurovillage Volunteers

The International Aurovillage camp can receive volunteers for the solidarity and participatory visits.

The volunteers, after Coordination agreement can join for 15 days, 3 months, 6 months or more visits.

Their visit is part of a desire for sustainable participation in Aurovillage project.

Stays as volunteers is a voluntarily act, the volunteer is responsible for the low-cost of food and personal trips in the Aurovillage.

The volunteers must be respectful to the Charter and sign the Aurovillage volunteer’s book. They are required insurance and current formalities (visas, vaccinations).

Any specific religious belief, spiritual, political will be required to be a volunteer. The only requirements the principles of the Charter and instructions during the stay at Aurovillage.

Volunteers take part in activities, projects, and these activities and projects must be in conformity with the development programme of Aurovillage.

They can, after several visits and their significant contributions to the project, after approval by the Coordination, apply for land and build their house in a specific place of Aurovillage dedicated to that purpose. They can arrange it as they want (but ecological, green !) and live there as they want. They become aurovillagers. The houses  and lands remain the property of Aurovillage.
